Latino Artist Mentorship Program (LAMP) a guided course designed for Latino artists to break into Indy’s art scene with a professional presence. With over 25 years of combined experience, curators Daniel Del Real and Eduardo Luna have worked to create opportunities for Latino artists for over 10 years working together and independently.
De Aquí y De Allá
De Aquí y De Allá (From Here and There) features works by artists from the 2025 cohort of the Latino Artists Mentorship Program (LAMP). Each artist explores what it means to be a product of two cultures, rejecting the Latino trope known as “Ni de aquí, ni de allá,” (not belonging here or there). Each artist interprets this theme via a distinct cultural lens that embodies the diversity of Latinismo.
De Aquí y De Allá is open from December 5 until January 31 at the Eiteljorg Museum of Western and Indian Arts in Indianapolis, IN. Come and meet the artists on Sunday, January 11th from 1pm-3pm.
LAMP MENTORS
LAMP mentors will guide artists through the program, share skills and networks, offer feedback on artwork, exhibitions, and grants, and provide tools artists need to present themselves as professional Latino creatives.
PROGRAM GOALS
-
Artists will participate in workshops in collaboration with community partners to present their work and themselves as professional artists.
-
LAMP will tackle barriers keeping Latino artists from being recognized.
-
LAMP artists will exhibit their artwork in a group exhibition titled “De Aquí y De Allá.” alongside other artists
Thank you to our sponsors Glick Philanthropies and Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust, and to our community partners for supporting LAMP.
